Three Steps to Do Maintenance On Dustbin Mould

First, basic maintenance

Basic maintenance of Dustbin Mould is done every day. Clean the parting line of the dustbin mould and apply the appropriate lubricating oil to the moving parts. Also check the mould for damage, wear, and whether it will affect the safe operation and product quality of the dustbin mould. These can be checked on the injection moulding machine.

Second, general maintenance

Depending on the complexity of the dustbin mould, large-scale general maintenance is usually based on cycle statistics, or how many times the dustbin mould has been played. Open and close the mould without complicated movements. Do general maintenance between 250M and 500M cycles. If a pair of moulds has many moving parts, it needs to be carefully checked, and general maintenance should be done every 100M cycles.

We check the last moulded product for damage and defects. If it is good, we will continue to disassemble the mould completely. The stencil is cleaned, the wear is checked, the venting depth is checked, and the O-ring is replaced. Any damaged and defective parts should be replaced. If the cleaning dustbin mould has hot runners, check for leaks and component condition, then we re-install the mould, check several times, and prepare to produce the product.

Third, the main maintenance

Between 500M and 1 million M, each dustbin mould is subject to major preventive maintenance, including all general maintenance and in-depth inspections. All other components are measured for the original dimensions, the water joint is cleaned, and the cavity is re-polished if necessary. Regular and correct completion of these three types of maintenance is critical to maintaining a good state of our dustbin mould.
